TrafficWave
TrafficWave allows drivers to say ‘thank you’ to other drivers. When someone gives you space to merge, or when you just think it would be a nice gesture, use TrafficWave to thank them. It’s a better option than the traditional and illegal method of using indicators or hazard lights. TrafficWave promotes healthier driving habits and increases the likelihood of passing them on to others; creating a more pleasant experience for all and reducing stress that has built up while sitting in traffic, which when taken to the extreme can lead to road rage.

Q: Is TrafficWave easy to install?
A: Yes, TrafficWave is very easy to install. See pages 4 and 5 of the Instruction and Information Guide, “TRAFFIC WAVE – INSTALLING THE RECEIVER” and “TRAFFIC WAVE – INSTALLING THE TRANSMITTER”.
Q: Do I need to Charge my TrafficWave before I install it?
A: Yes, It is important to charge TrafficWave fully before use to ensure not to damage the battery. See page 3 in the Instruction and Information Guide “TRAFFIC WAVE – CHARGING THE RECEIVER”.
Q: Can I have more than one TrafficWave on my vehicle?
A: Yes, you can have as many receivers as you like all paired to one transmitter. See page 3 in the Instruction and Information Guide “TRAFFIC WAVE – PAIRING”.
Q: Can I have my TrafficWave on charge all the time?
A: Yes, you can keep your TrafficWave on charge and still use it.
Q: How do I know when to charge my TrafficWave?
A: When you press the transmitter, you will be notified by a beep on the Receiver when there is a charge of 10% of less remaining. However, your TrafficWave should stay charged due to its solar cell.
Q: The blue light on the transmitter/button stopped working?
A: The transmitter battery has expired. See page 6 in the Instruction and Information Guide, “TRAFFIC WAVE – REPLACING THE TRANSMITTER BATTERY”.
HISTORY
A brief look from concept to release
CREATING THE CONCEPT:
My previous work involved daily driving in traffic. It was difficult to thank other drivers (wave) since the back of my vehicle was full of equipment. I noticed that this often angered other drivers, it was lucky that no road rage incidences occurred.
My solution was TrafficWave.
PATENT AND DESIGN:
Once we decided to proceed with TrafficWave our first step was to patent the project. Designing it to be slimline but with enough visual ‘thumb’ for drivers to see was one challenge, another important feature was battery-life, it had to be long lasting but still be lightweight. Hence, the introduction of a solar cell.
MANUFACTURING:
Electronics, plastic housings, USB cables, batteries, each manufacture was individually sourced to ensure TrafficWave is made at the highest possible quality.
COMPLIANCE AND RELEASE:
Making sure TrafficWave is government compliant and safe for the public is Diverse Industries Intl. Pty. Ltd. highest priority. TrafficWave was put through rigorous testing at a leading testing laboratory making sure TrafficWave is at the highest safety standard.
